Three Old Girls

I love Sycamore trees. They have a history with me throughout my childhood. My backyard in New Jersey had a huge, spreading Sycamore tree that was perfect for climbing. Plus, it was perfect for the swing we tied to it. The tree would shade the whole back of the house. Towering over our 3-story stone home, there was no need for air conditioning during even the worst part of the Jersey summers. When we moved to Ohio, one of the first trees we planted was a Sycamore tree in the front yard. What started out as not much more than a tall, 4 inch in diameter stick, now shares shading the front yard with a Pin Oak.
The old Sycamores in this photo line a road along with many of their Sycamore friends only minutes from my house. My original thought was to take a photo of them in the exact same spot in all four seasons. When the center tree was removed the composition was not the same. I need to take the time to look closely at the others and find a set of trees that give me a similar vibe so I can continue the series I had envisioned.
