Where I live on Lake Erie, the land juts out into the lake and makes a popular resting stop for migrating birds and attracts birders. A memory from childhood in the dead of winter, was being able to go out onto the frozen lake and walk, what felt like forever. You could imagine being able to walk all the way to Canada and back. This composition is about that fantasy trek, full of danger and mystery. To add to the fantasy, the lake is obscured by fog and mysterious texture. Where do these come from and where are they going? These and more questions pop into your mind as you view this scene, full of fantasy and mystery.
