O.W.L.S. Owls Woodland Leaders Society

O.W.L.S. – is the acronym for Owls Woodland Leaders Society. To tell you the truth, the initials came BEFORE the title. The owls looked like they were all in a meeting, so I decided the composition needed a title to reflect that. This Altered Reality started with the background, which is something a bit rare for me. I shot this while walking in the woods. The light was coming through the trees in a beautiful golden glow and seemed to be almost mystical. It was begging for a whimsical theme. The owls come from different photo shoots, the flock of birds in the background are hand painted, as are the sparkles. Did you know that a group of owls is called a “parliament”?
