A Still Moment
$54.00 – $180.00
A Still Moment is a scene that was made up of at least 15 photographs. It is a woods scene that doesn’t really exist. The woods were taken in the evening when the sun was very low. It is the warm, filtered sun spots that caught my interest while walking the trails that day. Once I have an inspirational shot, my imagination starts to wander as to what I can do with it. Much of the greenery surrounding the woods are from a number of different areas. The white flowers come from at least three different photographs, again not from these woods…and the deer I found in another woods near Lake Erie, a few miles from where I live. There, in the woods, I found a mother deer and her fawn along with a couple of other deer close by. Although this fawn was much older than what you think of when someone says fawn, the doe was still very attentive to her needs. I love the pictures I took of her washing the fawn. Mothers are always busy.
Texture is added to the scene that comes from a number of different sources… all photos I took at one time or another. These Altered Reality compositions often take weeks, months or years to capture the images I need for a particular mood or scene. I’m willing to wait. Patience and imagination are two key ingredients for this type of art.
