Tajik Goats_ready to hang

In June 2023, I was fortunate enough to visit Tajikistan. We trekked the Almay Mountains and spent time experiencing the culture, the historical architecture and visiting the gorgeous buildings in Dushanbe, the capital city. While hiking the mountains one afternoon, on a narrow path, we noticed a herd of goats quickly trotting toward us on the same path. We froze, wondering what to do. The mountain was a steep incline on our left and straight down on our right. We had absolutely nowhere to go. No problem… the goats, without missing a beat, jumped up the steep mountainside and merrily passed us.
