Spotted in the Fog is a play on words. The morning I took this photo, the day started out with a light cover of fog. However, instead of burning off, the fog kept coming in.
I thought it would be impossible to get a decent shot of the horses…I couldn’t see very far in front of me! So I turned my attention to some trees with nice color and textured bark. Through the fog I thought I saw a couple of horses standing along the farm road. Look carefully…you can barely see them. One is a spotted mare and the other a bay gelding. I spotted the white spots on her body first, then slowly noticed a second horse beside her. Standing there staring, was it an illusion or were the horses out of their pasture? I enjoy a good mystery. It made me smile and I just had to capture the scene.
