Preparing to Ride

The morning light was streaming through the door. I couldn’t resist setting up a composition with this light, so I grabbed my gear to take a photo. I wanted the composition to look very natural…like I had just noticed the beauty of the tack sitting there while I went to get the horse. Since this was natural lighting, I couldn’t change the light. Instead, I kept changing the position of all the parts and pieces. I took 39 photographs to get the look I was going for, but in the end, I chose photograph #8. Looking at the composition through the lens can appear differently. You never know which one is going to be “the one” so I make sure I capture a wide variety of choices.

Printed on heavy matte artists’ canvas with archival inks, all photographs come with 2″ of white canvas all the way around the image.
This affords you the choice of having the artwork …
1. Mounted on stretcher bars
2. Framed with the white border showing
3. Trimming the border off so that the image touches your frame
The size listed is the actual picture size. Every picture comes with a 2” white border on all sides. This gives you flexibility in choosing a frame for the art. You can have the canvas mounted on a stretcher, cut the canvas right up to the picture to eliminate any white border, use the white border as a self-mat in a larger frame, or you can hide the white edge with a purchased mat and frame.
All artwork is printed on white canvas. For ease of shipping, canvases come rolled and shipped in a tube. Canvas will not crease or wrinkle in shipping, unlike paper.
The artwork comes unmated and unframed. I feel mat and frame choices are best left up to you.
