Day at the Beach

Who doesn’t love horses running on the beach? I did a photo shoot at a farm near me in Newbury, Ohio. I had a nice number of horses… Arabian and half Arabian mares and foals available to photograph. One by one, the owner brought them out to play in the paddock while I sat in the corner shooting their antics.

When I got home and looked through the photos, I kept thinking how nice it would be to group them together as a running herd. Looking through my available backgrounds, I came across a moody beach scene I photographed years ago while in Monterey, California as the fog was coming in toward the shoreline. This background was just begging for some horses. That was the start of this Altered Reality. Much went into this scene. It isn’t just throwing a background behind a subject, but I have to admit, this is one of those pictures that just flowed as I was creating it.
