Among the Wolves

I wanted a mystery artwork that felt almost like you were watching a fairytale unfold and decided Little Red Riding Hood would be a good place to start. The easy part was finding the woods and making the cape. I had to wait months for the right weather and actually a couple of years to get the shots of the wolves. When I finally found some wolves, they weren’t the most cooperative. I ended up sitting in the snow for hours. And to think, I thought wolves were more active than this! I felt like I was watching my dog sleep. This mystery artwork project went through many revisions including daylight to a night scene before I called it finished. In fact, what I thought was the finished composition was up on this website for about a year before being replaced by what you see now. The funniest thing is that with this newest revision, I didn’t even need wolves! But, the good news is the newer version has a more mystery artwork theme or feeling to it. The original “finished” composition is seen in the gallery photos below… that is until I get updated ones.
