Nothing exhibits power like a team of draft horses. These gigantic, heavy beasts have been history’s horsepower and still are in use today. Watching them pulling heavy loads as they work in unison to move the weighted sleds. They are awe inspiring. Ohio has a large area of Amish farmland. I don’t have to go too far down the road to find tidy white farms with pastureland and fields. I’m always looking for an excuse during planting and harvest seasons to drive through the countryside to get a glimpse of the Amish draft horses in action. This team, though, I found at a local county fair. I never outgrew the little girl’s delight…”look, horses!”
