Nancy, the President and designer at NCM Studio, Inc. comes from an extensive art background. Immersed in art at a very young age, she grew up winning many awards. Throughout her high school years, she apprenticed under Frederick W. Reiniger of the Philadelphia area (a portrait painter who was well known both in the U.S. and abroad). She then went on to graduate from Lake Erie College with a B.F.A. degree, Magna cum Laude and received her Masters degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Nancy spent eleven years in the advertising field before teaching art at both the high school and college levels. | |
| Nancy started her company in 1991. Originally, the porcelain studio
concentrated on ready-made tableware. Such designs as Alice Patchwork, French Blues, and
Royal Prints were shown at major wholesale trade shows in New York City, Atlanta, and
Dallas. China and gift shops around the country scrambled to be an exclusive store in
their area for the NCM Studio, Inc. lines. Nancy, being a prolific artist, wanted to continue designing more and more patterns for the dinnerware market to service all tastes and styles for her clientele. Her husband Jim, though, saw the never ending designs coming off her drawing board and samples out of the kiln as a logistical nightmare! Keeping up with advertising and product codes was bad enough, he thought, but to be second guessing the public was another matter altogether. Custom designs seemed to be the answer to both their wishes. With making custom work especially designed for the individual or the corporation, there was no second guessing what the masses would buy and Nancy could design to her hearts content! So, two years later, in 1993, corporate gifts and awards were added to the ever expanding line of products available. Custom designs are well suited to this studio. NCM Studio, Inc. is small enough to give you the attention you deserve, yet large enough to handle large production orders. With her varied background, Nancy's style is quite diversified. She has an excellent flair for style along with the production sense to follow through with your project for accurate and timely results. The sky's the limit!
